An Awkward Week with Lock

As soon Mike noticed the gang had disappeared, leaving only himself and Lock, he suddenly took off his hands away from her and gasped five times.
"All is well, all is well...wait till I get back next week and he'll suffer!" Mike growled. Lock, seemed to be frozen, just hung her mouth a little before turning at him.
"So what do you want to do with me?" she asked, causing Mike to yelp.
"I'm not going to do anything at you, honest to goodness. And..." he noticed his Gatsby on top of Lock's head, which seemed to fit her. "Nice hat." he blurted. Lock then remembered about it, before taking it off and wear her own 'jester crown' hat.
"Found it lying on the floor in the lab." she muttered, her voice sounded quite low, grabbing her own hat like how Austina usually does.
"Anyways, lead me to where Roxis is." Mike asked, bowing three times. Unable to refuse, Lock then started to strut with Mike towards the said lab, before they heard a loud yell.
"What the-" Mike gasped, before running inside and startled. Roxis was inside a glass chamber, yelling out loud while being exposed to three Gold Lasers pointing at him. He also started to emit black aura out from his body due to the extreme shock.
"STOP THE TEST!!" Mike yelled, before he accidentally tripped on one of the wires, causing a short circuit. But not just that-even Mike himself got shocked by the wires, causing him to be yelling out loud instead. Later, the whole tower lost the power due to the trip, causing everyone to stay in darkness.
"*gasp*" Roxis panted, before slowly turned left, where the paralyzed Mike was there, still standing as how he was before he got shocked. Electric currents could be seen zipping out from him.
"Maykel-are you okay?!" Lock asked, gasping when she found him standing as if to fetch something. Mike let out a few laughter from his paralyzed mouth, before he fainted down.
"Bring him to my room! And put Roxis to the Infirmary, treat him up." Lock ordered. So the men were sent to the rooms mentioned, letting them rest.

"Uhh..I felt like a whole generator just fell on me before..." Mike grumbled, before rubbing his head and blinked. He noticed himself in quite a cozy room, and he was lying on a soft, fluffy bed, as what he always liked. He even found himself wearing a pajama, in his favourite color, and that made him puzzled.
"Am I in a Dream Land?" Mike blurted, before the door opened, causing him to turn. It was Lock, wearing a checkered dress of blue and white.
"You got yourself tripped on the generator's wire and paralyzed. Roxis currently is being treated." She explained.
"No wonder. Is he okay?" Mike asked worriedly.
"Well, due to his asthma, he's barely alive, but he'll be fine soon." Lock muttered, feeling guilt. Mike then looked around, before spotting an aurora before looking at it with awe.
"Wow, pretty aurora!" He beamed, his eyes glistening. Lock later shuffled near him and also watched the aurora, also felt the same.
"I always stayed at Darklava but this is the first time I think auroras are pretty..." she gasped, blinking.
"It's probably because you never enjoyed it?" Mike giggled, before continued to watch the waving auroras. Lock also started to giggle before the two watched the auroras a bit longer, before they heard a growl.
"Ow, man, I'm hungry as a dragon!" Mike joked, causing the two to laugh.
"Alright, come down with me. I'll call Roxis too." Lock grinned, before the two walked downstairs.

At the dining room...
"You alone here, Lock?" Mike asked, sipping some soup. Roxis, which looked feeble beside him, was being fed with the servants' help.
"The others are watching the main guild. So yes, me alone here. I got something to be settled off." Lock answered, before eating a spoonful of rice.
"I heard from the grunts that Slyvia escaped. So what happened?" Mike asked, before Lock just shrugged.
"Let me guess. Are you...forced to do this?" he asked again, hugging Roxis. This time, Lock stopped in the middle of her soup-feeding, before slowly placing her spoon inside the gravy and looked down.
"Ruvi told me about your acts, this and that, and yes, I understand you are really trying to protect me, but not because of my powers. You fall in love with me." Mike explained, patting the feeble lad. Almost at once, Lock looked at him.
"...I know it is wrong for me to force you to fall in love with me, and so do myself." Lock muttered, patting her chest. "I would not feel any better than the cheating people."
"Bygones be bygones, Lock." Mike hushed. "I kinda knew why she fled though. She told us she knew all her doings are extremely wrong, and she wanted to stop once and for all, and tried to help people instead." he added.
"Well, let's hope nobody found her." Lock sighed, noticing her mistakes.
"Cheers for a new us!" Mike lifted his glass, and helped Roxis lifted his, before the three clinked each other and drank.

"Anyways." Mike spoke, lying on the bed. "What was Roxis's result?"
"Uh..it's kinda..." Lock mumbled, looking at the papers. "It's very irregular at first, but later on, it seemed..." she stopped, flicking the papers. Mike then stood up, taking notice of it.
"For the truth even I don't know what kind of power he had inside him." Mike muttered, looking at the papers. The graphs were showing irregular waves, as if the power inside Roxis was unstable. But right near the end, it ramped off the scale.
"And that's when the black auras appeared at him." Lock flicked her pen. "But at first when I got hit by his power...it's very dark, full of hatred and I admit, even stronger than Lord Azeral's blessings I ever seen. Just who is he?" she added, muttering.
"No idea, but what I know at first, to be honest, he and Ruvi aren't blood-related." Mike explained. Suddenly the lights around the place turned irregular, as if someone was toying with the electricity.
"Is someone using that freaking generator?" Mike blurted, before the two looked at each other and ran down. Sure enough, someone was, and someone familiar was there.
"CYRUS!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Lock gasped, looking at the weakly-yelling Roxis. And adding the top, he was exposed to five gold Lasers this time.
"Hearing him yell of course." Cyrus sniggered. "Isn't that what you wanted, Milady? Seeing the leaguemaster who always disturbs us to suffer?" he added, laughing. Mike, hiding behind the walls at the door, started to sweat.
"Of all people-why him coming here?!" Mike grunted, before he could not hear Roxis's yell anymore. Lock also noticed this, as he saw Roxis's head slowly fell down, and he isn't budging from the seat due to the exposure.
"Hah-he's dead!" Cyrus laughed, before closing the generator, and waited till the charge stopped. Lock, startled yet confused about what to do, stood still on her place while watching Cyrus lifted Roxis's head.
"Puny leaguemaster is all dead, haha!" Cyrus lifted him before attempted to throw him, before noticing Lock was staring at them bewilderedly, before he felt something hot touching his hands, causing him to yell.
"What the-" Cyrus gasped, looking at where Roxis slumped like a lifeless doll. His hands twitched slowly, before the graph reader beside Cyrus started to bleep out really loud.

"What to do, what to do..." Mike muttered, didn't realizing the situation, crouched beside the walls. Suddenly he heard a loud yell from Cyrus, and an eerie laughter resonating from somewhere. When he turned back to watch, he jaw-dropped. Roxis, half-hunched, was letting out an eerie, yet maniacal laugh.
"FINALLY!! YOU LET ME FREED OUT!!" Roxis laughed, making his hands as if he's trying to fetch something from the sky. Cyrus could be seen lying in the middle while Lock, stunned, was beside him, watching Rox in terror.
"He's acting like Shiroaka now!" Mike blurted, his eyes almost popped out. Cyrus then slowly stood up, bewildered by the man's sudden change.
"Who the hell are you?!" Cyrus roared, grabbing his sword. Roxis lets out a few more laughs, before staring at them with a grim smirk. Almost at once, Mike and Lock were stunned. His eyes had turned to black outer with gold rings, exactly like in the sports.
"Who the hell am I? Question, why the HELL YOU LET ME out." Roxis chuckled, before his right hand was engulfed in black-red aura. "You and your foolishness, False Wrath! You're nothing compared to me!!" Roxis yelled, before throwing the flames at Cyrus's direction, which dodged quickly.
"He's being possessed by something else!!" Mike gasped, watching the two fight for their lives. Cyrus later summoned grunts into the building, causing Roxis to look around.
"GO GET THAT DEMON!!" Cyrus yelled, before the grunts charged at him. But before they could manage to touch him, they were whipped around by Roxis's aura, scalding them down terribly.
"So you're Fire-elemented, eh!" Cyrus blurted, before pointing the five gold lasers at him. "How about a taste of thunder?!" he yelled, before blasting a bolt of lighting at the lad. Roxis didn't budged-instead he took two unused wires and held it, waiting for the charge to hit him.
"As you think that will hurt me..." He smirked, before the charge hit him. He later let the charge loose by whipping the wires to the metal floor, causing a shock wave. And it was strong enough to shock Mike outside.
"NOT AGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINN!!!!" Mike squealed. Lock, making herself float to avoid the shockwave, heard the yell and lifted Mike up.
"Now what're we going to do?!" Lock grumbled, looking behind the walls with Mike on her hands.
"I never seen him rampage like this-except when Shiroaka possessed him!" Mike blurted. They later noticed the whole lab is in a bloodshed due to continuous whipping and slashing by Roxis.
"That's all you got, HUH?!" Rox yelled, whipping a grunt towards the walls with his spiked aura whip, causing blood splatter around.
"Just who the hell are you?!" Cyrus yelled, grabbing his hurting shoulder, before noticing blood was dripping on his head.
"Why you want to know about me so much when your door of doom is so close~" Rox smirked, lifting his hands with the flaming black aura that later formed into a large clawed gauntlet. "You'll know soon enough if you request it now!" he added, letting out a loud laugh.

"Roxis, WAKE UP!!" Mike suddenly charged in and punched right at the face, causing the flames to disappear, and Cyrus was puzzled with this sudden appearance.
"What the-another Rayner? he blurted, before Lock hit him at the back, fainting him.
"That would do it. How about him, Maykel?" Lock asked, looking at Mike, but later facepalmed. Once again, Mike tripped on the same wire, and shocked both of them.
"NGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG WAAAAKKKKKEEEE UPPPP!!!" Mike yelled, before headbutting Roxis, causing him to flinch. After he got himself out from the shock area, Rox fell with a bump, and his eyes returned to normal once again.
"Wha-what the- MIKE WHAT THE FUDGE ARE YOU DOING THERE AGAIN!?" Rox gasped, looking at Mike who's making gestures due to the intolerable pain while being zapped. Lock later turned off the generator, causing the electricity to stop. And once again, Mike was standing still, frozen.
"Ahaha...haa...again..." Mike laughed, puffing out smoke from his mouth, but he later started to shuffle slowly from the wires.
"You and your clumsiness, Mike...seriously." Rox sweated, before noticing his hands were covered in blood, and so does where he was sitting at. Bodies are lying all around.
"Wha-what a massacre!! Who did all this?!" Rox blurted, before Mike, Lock and some few surviving grunts pointed at him.
"Long story man." Mike hushed him. "We better bring you back to be treated." he muttered, before tottering around like a drunkard.
"..." Roxis and Lock looked at him, before right at the front door, Mike passed out. "MIKE NOT AGAIN!!"

The next day...
"Okay, seriously, whatever is inside you just went berserk and killed almost everyone in the lab. Cyrus had been sent back to the post so he won't meddle over here again." Lock muttered, having her left hand and face bandaged. Mike got his right arm slung while his head tied all around, while Roxis had few plasters around his face.
"He just took me when I was asleep in the room and hence..." Rox muttered slowly. "So, Lock, if you're helping us, why did you attempted to kill us before?" he asked, before Lock grumbled.
"It's the orders from my dad. If I refuse, he might make me as his lab rat again." she muttered, looking down.
"I guess that explains the whole needle marks around your arm..." Mike muttered, looking at Lock's left arm.
"But, Rox, don't you think you should try checking what kind of...person inside you?" he added, looking at the blonde.
"You wanna try checking it out?" Rox blurted, wide eyed.
"Why not? We're in the main lab of the Vanquishers, so most possibly we can find what happened at you last night." Mike nodded. "We got a whole week here, though! I mean, me alone, actually." he added, wide eyed while scratching his head.
"I guess...sure, why not? But we oughta tell them about our status. And oh yeah. Keep our relationship secret between the two of us. They're not going to believe that." Rox suggested.
"Aye, agreed." Mike nodded, before writing the notes down. Later when they finished contacting, Lock led them for a tour around, explaining the things around.
"This is the chamber where Maykel and Lance got their Dragon powers..." Lock pointed at a room with three beds, situated right in the middle of the tower. "That is the Control Room and the room where we do experiments are over there..." she added, pointing around.
"Is it just me or she's really changed?" Rox whispered at Mike.
"I dunno. But it seems she only acted like this when I'm around." the latter answered.
"She llllllllllikes you." Rox snickered, causing Mike to splutter.
"WHAT'S WITH THE TONGUE ROLLING!?" Mike yelled, stomping, before chasing Roxis around. Suddenly, something small and black landed on Mike's face, causing the two to stop.
"A ROACH!!!" Rox yelled, his face full of horror, before Mike swiped his face in a chaos. Lock just watched them making ruckus by stomping around the roach, which induced her to laugh out loud.
"?" Mike, Roxis and the roach turned at her, bewildered. She kept on laughing till she felt tired.
"Ohh...man, it's been long I had laughed that much..." Lock wiped her eyes. "Should we keep going?" she added, before the other two nodded, and Mike stomped the black brute down before following her.
